Cybersecurity is a concept that everyone, professionals in the world of information technology and, above all, users of these services, should be familiar with. We live in an increasingly connected world, or rather, “hyper-connected”. Mobile phones, tablets, computers, watches, cars, health bracelets… everything is connected and generating a multitude of data in many different places. There is practically no area of information in our lives that is not stored somewhere: personal data, medical data, location, professional data, exercise circuits (“running”), banking data… In this course we will cover many topics about security in the main areas of the technologies that surround us. We will see real cases of how, in the simplest way we can imagine, they can gain access to our private information. And other more complex, but common, cases that will give us an idea of how vulnerable the digital world in which we are immersed is. The main objective of this course is to learn about the threats in the world of information technology: viruses, malware, intrusion attempts and theft of confidential information, among others. We will see what the main threats are and how they work. Based on this knowledge, we will learn how to protect ourselves against them, acquiring preventive techniques that will keep our documentation and privacy safe. We will complete the training with a review of legal aspects within the world of cybersecurity with examples of real situations.
